Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting the dentist during various dental procedures and ensuring the comfort and well-being of our patients. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the overall success of our dental practice.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, ensuring cleanliness and organization

- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including taking and developing dental X-rays

- Perform basic dental procedures such as taking impressions, applying sealants, and placing temporary fillings

- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist by passing instruments, suctioning, and providing patient education

- Take and record vital signs of patients, including blood pressure and pulse rate

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation and patient records

- Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and handle dental receptionist duties as needed

- Adhere to strict HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality

- Assist with medical coding and billing processes as required

Experience:

- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant, Dental Assistant certification, prefered.

- Familiarity with dental terminology, procedures, and instruments

- Proficiency in medical imaging software for X-ray development is highly desirable

- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry techniques is advantageous

- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

- Ability to assess patient needs and provide appropriate care

- Familiarity with CAD/CAM technology for digital impressions is a plus
