Excel Care is Hiring a Business Office Manager Near Wayne, NJ

ExcelCare at Wayne, a beautiful Skilled Nursing community located in Passaic County in Wayne, NJ is seeking a "Business Office Manager" with business office experience in a Skilled Nursing and/or Assisted Living setting. The Business Office Associate is responsible for the daily business office functions including: accounts payable; insurance authorization and recertification; medical records requests; and resident’s personal needs account.

The Business Office Associate position is to develop, implement and maintain systems to operate the business office in an effective and efficient manner in compliance with federal, state and local requirements.

Requirements:

  • 1 year experience in healthcare setting
  • Minimum Associate’s Degree; Bachelor’s Degree Preferred

Business Office Associate - Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate business office functions with other departments
  • Evaluate need for and requisition and maintain adequate supplies and equipment for use in community
  • Compile and maintain accurate statistics as required
  • Keep informed on all local, state and federal requirements related to the business office
  • Maintain an accurate resident census
  • Handle all correspondence related to business office functions
  • Communicate and work cooperatively with community vendors, suppliers and contractors
  • Develop an accurate account receivable and payable documentation and retrieval system
  • Balance daily reports
  • Interview resident’s representatives to arrange payment methods
  • Secure information on resident’s financial status
  • Manages resident trust funds and maintains confidential files.
  • Supervises, organizes, evaluates and monitors business office operations, including receptionist.
  • On-boarding new employees
  • Benefits Administration, Worker’s compensation, and disability processing
  • Orientation set-up
  • Ensure Department Heads are completing performance evaluation on an annual basis
  • Follow Resident Rights’ policies at all times
  • Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality
  • Attend and complete in-service training programs
  • Maintain accurate resident accounts for Medicare, Medicaid and Private residents
  • Oversees the release of medical record information and archiving/storage of medical records
  • Collects and analyzes data for quality improvement
  • Completes quarterly performance improvement reports in a timely manner
  • Suggests changes to Medical Record policies and procedures
  • Works with Staffing Coordinator on recruiting and filing project
  • Looks to become highly involved in areas outside specific job function
  • Ensures that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals’ needs and right

Business Office Associate – Leadership Duties:
