EVS is Hiring a Staff Accountant Near Prairie, MN
- Payroll
- Assist with compiling bi-weekly payroll
- Generate and submit certified payroll reports
- Track fringe and prevailing rates for survey staff
- Process payments for employee deferrals
- General Accounting
- Setup new vendors including ensuring that we have W-9s and Certificate of Insurance on file
- Enter vendor invoices
- Manage quarterly sales and use tax payments
- Gather information for generating 1099s
- Enter other transactions from the checkbook
- Review and approve employee expense reports
- Coordinate information for insurance premium audits
- Enter client receipts
- Month-End Close
- Conduct monthly benefit reconciliation
- Assist with tracking amortization Assist with year-end review by pulling reports
- Accounting knowledge and understanding of accounting best practices
- High attention to detail
- Experience with Ajera software preferred
- Proven work experience in a similar role or Associate’s degree
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work and communicate professionally with internal team members
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project
