Position Summary:

The PlugShare mobile apps and website (www.plugshare.com) tracks over 700,000 charging stations globally. Our community of over 2.7 million electric vehicle drivers and our automotive, utility and government customers depend on PlugShare to deliver the most accurate charging information.

The Data Integrity Specialist role is a critical part of fulfilling our mission of making EV ownership carefree and having the most accurate and deep charging point of interest (POI) data in the world.

Responsibilities:

• Use in-house tools to import data records from our CPO partner feeds and driver submissions daily
  • Conduct a thorough review of records to validate data accuracy and comprehensiveness by cross referencing different sources and improve geo-accuracy by using satellite imagery
  • Use in-house tools that identify data discrepancies
  • Append meta data based on researching a given location
  • Prevent data duplication, merge records as appropriate
• Perform data quality assessment regularly to investigate breaks in data quality or improve existing data
• Troubleshoot and resolve questions from drivers and CPOs through a full process cycle
• Work closely with the engineering team to troubleshoot any tools issues and identify new tools needs or improvements to increase our efficiency
• Monitor driver submitted reports of data errors or site changes for accuracy and make the required adjustments to content
• Moderate user behavior by using custom algorithms to ensure a positive cordial community
• Identify problem users – work to enforce our terms of service and partner with the engineering team to counter service when needed
• Enforce our data style guide to sustain consistency within our platform
• Maintain our editorial standards and drive needed changes
• Manage vehicle database and user editable charging network selections
• Maintain a comprehensive list of DCFC hardware

Required Skills and Experience:

• Demonstrated expertise in GIS tool chains and spatial data
• Demonstrated expertise in developing, maintaining, and querying SQL databases
• Deep domain expertise in EV charging infrastructure and charging standards
• Working knowledge of EV charging hardware and issues experienced with EV charging
• A passion for precision and continuous improvement
• Excellent English written and oral communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team
• Ability to keep a consistent pace to ensure daily workflows are always completed
• Strong organizational skills
• Attention to detail
• Fluent in basic project management ability to prioritize and accurately estimate work
• The ability to identify process areas for improvement and present them clearly to the team
• Expert level proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
• A 4-year degree in a related field

For job positions in CA, CO, and NYC, the estimated salary range for a new hire in this position is $55,000 USD to $65,000 USD. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition to a competitive base salary, discretionary target cash bonus, and restricted stock units (subject to Board Approval).
