Evermore Hospitality is Hiring a Security Officer 2nd Shift Near Orlando, FL

About Evermore

Evermore Orlando Resort is an innovative 1,100-acre resort adjacent to Walt Disney World® featuring centrally owned upscale and upsized vacation rental homes, flats & villas, a luxury Conrad hotel, 36 holes of world-class Jack Nicklaus golf, and a massive 20-acre tropical beach complex around Evermore Bay, our 8-acre crystalline water amenity by Crystal Lagoons®. The surrounding beach areas feature zero-entry swim areas, bars, cabanas, private firepits, a lively food hall & gourmet market, a casual dining restaurant, and an event Boathouse that will provide a picture-perfect backdrop for weddings, banquets, and corporate meetings. Evermore is building a team that will bring these experiences to life and is seeking individuals who want the challenge of building this exciting resort experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patrol the resort premises, including common areas, parking lots, and guest accommodation units.
  • Stay vigilant in observing and identifying any potential security threats or suspicious activities.
  • Manage access control points and systems, to prevent unauthorized individuals from entering restricted areas.
  • Must establish ongoing communication with the team by using Relays, phones and other communication methods as well as responding in a timely manner based on priority.
  • Verify identification, check credentials, and enforce resort policies regarding access.
  • Expedient response to emergency conditions such as medical, fire or safety hazards and threats to life and/or property in a calm, rational and persuasive manner.
  • Assist with local law enforcement, fire departments, or medical personnel to ensure a swift and effective response.
  • Professionally interact with difficult guests, vendors, or Team Members to include undesired behavior, violations of resort policy and civil laws as warranted for the security and safety of hotel guests, Team Members, patrons, and property.
  • Act as mediators in conflicts between guests or Team Members. Use effective communication skills to de-escalate situations and resolve disputes in a professional and impartial manner.
  • Use a clear, concise voice, listen with empathy, provide accurate information and document legibly all appropriate incident information.
  • Write clear and complete security incident reports after a thorough investigation.
  • Maintain detailed logs and incident reports for any security-related incidents or unusual. occurrences. Accurate and timely documentation is essential for record-keeping and future reference.
  • Capable of preparing computer-generated reports in a complete and timely manner.
  • Receive ongoing training to stay updated on security protocols, emergency procedures, and relevant laws and regulations.
  • Participate in drills, seminars, or workshops to enhance their knowledge and skills.
  • Observe the CCTV monitors for any unusual activity and in the case of suspicious behavior, respond based on established standard operating procedure; similarly for all incoming alarms.
  • Memorize and monitor life safety systems installed at property including layout of entire building, alarm pull stations, location of fire extinguisher and sprinklers.
  • Keep storage area clean, organized and stocked.
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Respond, record, and process all guest, Team Member, operational calls, requests, questions, or concerns.
  • Follow up with guests, Team Members, and operational partners to ensure their requests or problems have been satisfactorily resolved.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
  • Report work related accidents, or other injuries immediately upon occurrence to manager/supervisor.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with others; support the team to reach common goals.
  • Support the resort safety program to promote and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Build strong relationships with key leaders, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Support other departments through direct and indirect action.
  • Flexible to work at various assigned locations based on operations demand.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education, Skills and Experience
  • High school diploma required.
  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience in security or related professional area.
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to obtain First Aid, CPR & AED certification.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Training or certification in safety and security preferred.
  • Knowledge of security protocols and emergency preparedness and response.
  • Knowledge of company safety policies and applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
  • Able to communicate in other languages, preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication, people person, and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with a wide range of people.
  • Excels at customer service and relationship building.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, or similar software.
  • Self-starter that can work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, overtime, and rotating schedules.
Physical Requirements
  • Able to safely lift up to 50 pounds and carry, pull, and push heavy objects and materials.
  • Ability to stand, walk and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions for the duration of shift.

  • Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
  • Requires grasping, lifting and or carrying using manual dexterity of hands.
  • Perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances between and within buildings on the property.
  • Able to safely lift up to 50 pounds and carry, pull, and push heavy objects and materials.
  • Subject to environmental conditions, work activities can occur inside and outside.
  • Must possess a valid driver license state FL and must have an acceptable driving record based on company policy.
  • Ability to drive a motor vehicle, golf cart and ride a Trikke™.
