Job Description:

The Lab Customer Services Representative will play a vital role in ensuring efficient and effective customer service within the laboratory setting. This position requires a strong blend of phlebotomy, computer, blood collection, and interpersonal skills to provide exceptional support to both patients and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform phlebotomy procedures accurately and efficiently, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
2. Collect, label, and process blood specimens according to established protocols and procedures.
3. Provide courteous and professional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff members.
4. Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and schedule appointments as needed.
5. Utilize computer systems to input and retrieve patient information and test results.
6. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laboratory and work area.
7. Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
8. Assist with inventory management, including ordering and restocking supplies.
9. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless workflow and patient care.
10. Participate in continuous education and training to stay current on industry standards and best practices.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited phlebotomy program preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in phlebotomy and customer service roles preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in computer systems and software applications.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Willingness to adhere to all required credentials and certifications.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
