Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Substitute Preschool Teacher to join our team. As a Preschool Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing a nurturing and educational environment for young children. Responsibilities:
- Cover classrooms while teachers are out
- Create a safe and stimulating learning environment for preschool-aged children
- Educate and engage students through interactive activities, games, and exercises
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in children
- Manage classroom behavior and promote positive discipline techniques
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students, including those with autism or special education requirements
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and assessments
Experience:
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children is preferred
- Familiarity with childhood development theories and practices
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques in a classroom setting
- Experience in curriculum development and lesson planning
- Ability to effectively communicate with parents/guardians regarding student progress
- Experience working with students with autism or special education needs is a plus
