Job Summary/Basic Function:
Serve as an integral part of the outreach and recruitment effort by actively participating and leading in areas of prospective student recruitment, external partnerships with a focus on K-12, and the execution of administrative functions in support of EvCC student enrollment initiatives. The position delivers accurate information regarding the college enrollment process, programs of study, funding, campus resources, and more. This position supports the College's mission by increasing student access and educational access through intentional efforts to assist prospective students in navigating the enrollment process.
  • In conjunction with the Associate Director of Recruitment, Outreach Specialists, and other on-campus partners, identify, cultivate, and steward partnerships among school districts and community-based organizations to promote a college-going culture with a focus on charting a path forward, moving towards equity as stated in the Strategic Plan.
  • Develop and manage relationships with external K-12 and high school-focused community partners in the EvCC service area and explore new collaboration opportunities that drive student recruitment strategies.
  • Support and implement outreach and recruiting goals set by the institutional leadership.
  • Participate in existing and new outreach and recruitment activities, on and off-campus and with satellite campuses, including community-based organizations, school district/high school college fairs, campus visitations, new student orientations and Trojan Days.
  • Manage and ensure a consistent and timely presence at all K-12 schools in EvCC's service area.
  • Coordinate with department Outreach Specialists to support recruitment efforts of adult learners in the EvCC service area.
  • Facilitate interactive workshops, virtually and in-person, on-campus and off-campus, involving admissions, financial aid, college access, and EvCC programs in a variety of appealing formats. This includes but is not limited to tabling, presentations, and campus tours.
  • Support the creation, distribution, and tracking of EvCC's recruitment and marketing materials.
  • Provide comprehensive in-person and virtual customer service via email, phone, and texting to prospective students, parents, and community members including navigating the application and enrollment processes.
  • Support dual credit programs in outreach and enrollment efforts as needed.
  • Work collaboratively on projects with Enrollment Services, Financial Aid, EvCC Diversity and Equity Center, Marketing and Communications, Student LIFE, and other campus departments.
  • Participate with various campus and community committees to support reaching institutional goals.
  • Utilize database software and student record systems to support recruitment efforts. These systems and software include but are not limited to People Soft ctcLink, Customer Relationship Management tool, web-editing, emailing, and texting.
  • Monitor external requests and update the campus Master Outreach calendar for data tracking and reporting.
  • Perform data entry. Collect and analyze data related to student recruitment.
  • Travel and work extended hours, including some nights and weekends, sometimes on short notice when needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Three years of professional administrative and outreach experience in educational, government, or non-profit organizations OR Associates degree or higher in a related field AND one year of professional experience in educational, government, or non-profit organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience effectively creating and conducting in-person and virtual presentations to small and large groups.
  • Efficient oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience creating, organizing, and executing events for groups of 10 - 500 people.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organization skills.
  • Demonstrated computer skills that include Microsoft Suite, word processing, data entry, and email.
  • Demonstrated awareness and ability to work and communicate with others of various ages, ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated experience working on a team and ability to work independently.
  • Must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation on a flexible schedule for local and state travel.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Three or more years of experience related to postsecondary education admissions, financial aid, or outreach.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and collaborate with individuals, departments, and organizations.
  • Experience maintaining or overseeing inventory.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak proficiently in a second language.
