Reporting to the VP, HR Business Partner Global Reinsurance and to the SVP, Head of International Reinsurance, you’ll ensure flawless execution of all HR processes within international reinsurance and serve as the head of HR for Switzerland. The role will develop a strong talent development agenda for international reinsurance and support the Head of International Reinsurance in managing headcounts and developing the culture of the division. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Act as the primary point of contact to the SVP, head of international reinsurance for all HR processes (compensation, position approvals, offer approvals, performance management, talent acquisition). Act as a trusted advisor, coach and consultant to leaders and management to improve leadership capability, improve team effectiveness and provide strategic insights on business/talent performance. Develop and organize calendar of HR activities for international Reinsurance. Drive Headcount management, offers approval, position approval processes, in strong alignment with the division and the HR function. Leverage analytics to help the business grow, engage, develop and retain talent and stay ahead of people and culture trends. Run yearly HR process on behalf of international reinsurance (annual compensation review, goal setting, on-boarding, Workday management, nominations for group development programs etc). Drive HR projects for international reinsurance (ex. Engagement survey, international reinsurance summits, ad hoc workshops). Advance employee development within international reinsurance, leveraging group resources and piloting new approaches (reverse mentoring, young talents programs and discussions etc…). Provides input to divisional and international HR as needed. As the head of HR for Switzerland: sign off on Swiss local payroll Ensure that benefit programs are locally competitive while aligned with international and global Everest guidelines Represents Everest in various local HR bodies (Pensionskasse etc) Provides consultation and guidance on local HR matters Manages local Employee relation matters Partners with group on incoming mobility Liaise with other HR international team members to ensure consistency and leverage best practices Candidate Profile Qualifications, Education & Experience: Strong mastery of the Swiss legal, social, payroll, employment tax and labor law (8-10 years of successful HR management experience in Switzerland) Experience working in an international environment Experience in talent development, employee development, learning and training Fluent in English and German languages. Advanced in French language. Experience of the reinsurance industry, insurance industry or financial services industry is of advantage Knowledge, Skills & Competencies: Proven strong foundation and knowledge of principles and practice of HR including legal and compliance requirements Ability to effectively influence at a senior level and inspire confidence through timely, thorough and accurate delivery of information, and creative/strategic solutions that address business needs Can-do attitude, solution- rather than problem-focused, able to dig into issues where needed, strong operational focus Outstanding communications skills, able to interact with all levels of the organization Ability to set high personal goals and work independently and demonstrative proactive follow through. Understand the need to align HR actions for international reinsurance with the global HR agenda Strong collaboration skills, an outstanding team player Awareness of requirements to drive an inclusive performance culture within a globally diverse organization.
