About the Team:

As a Logistics Manager at EVBox, you will be at the helm of a dynamic and integral team within our organization. Your role is central to orchestrating the efficiency and effectiveness of our Logistics Warehouse Operation.
The Logistics Manager is crucial in overseeing and ensuring the smooth functioning of various logistical aspects. This includes managing shipping and receiving materials, controlling inventory, and supplying materials to production lines as needed. The role is instrumental in managing costs effectively and contributing towards achieving the company's broader objectives.

As the Logistics Manager you will work effectively with cross-functional departments needs to be a strong communicator, a collaborative leader, and a strategic thinker, with a deep understanding of the roles and challenges of different departments, and the ability to manage projects, change, and conflicts effectively.

About the role:

In the Logistics and Warehousing department, the role of a Logistics Manager is central to our operation's efficiency and success. This position is intricately woven into the departmental fabric, acting as a pivotal point of coordination and management within our dynamic ecosystem.

  • Supervise and direct warehouse staff; organize training sessions to enhance employee performance and achieve operation goals.
  • Oversee daily warehouse operations, including inventory control and space management.
  • Schedule and manage warehouse teams, ensuring optimal flow and quality of work for maximum efficiency.
  • Implement work schedules and ensure quality completion of tasks.
  • Prepare and distribute reports for daily operations, including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Provide top-notch customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Ensure the security of the warehouse facility and the integrity of the inventory.
  • Develop and implement shipping strategies, maintain safety protocols, and optimize shipping processes using appropriate software.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including workers, vendors, purchasing managers, and suppliers.
  • Negotiate shipping costs, manage shipping and warehouse budgets.
  • Identify and resolve issues promptly.
  • Oversee the receipt of incoming freight, ensuring orders are complete and undamaged.
  • Maintain the warehouse to meet the company's standards.

About you:

Education requirements

A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is often preferred or Associates Degree combined with equivalent work experience.

Experience requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience within logistics and 3 years of experience as a manager within a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficiency in SAP is essential.
  • Proven experience in managing effective cycle count and physical inventory programs utilizing SAP.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing logistics and warehouse operations.

Physical requirements

  • Ability to move around the manufacturing floor, warehouses, and office areas comfortably. This may include walking, standing, and navigating through obstacles throughout the factory.
  • Capable of using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers. In some environments, occasional handling of manufacturing tools or equipment may be required.
  • Must have adequate vision and hearing to ensure safety and quality on the production floor. This includes the ability to read reports, documents, and computer screens, and to perceive and respond to sounds in a very active manufacturing environment.
  • The role may require the ability to remain on one's feet for extended periods, especially during facility tours, Gemba walks, or when supervising production activities.
  • Capable of lifting or moving items, typically not exceeding 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with appropriate safety equipment.

  • Capacity to build a cohesive team and foster a positive work environment.
  • Strong proficiency in overseeing daily warehouse operations, including inventory control and space management.

  • Ability to develop and implement effective shipping and inventory strategies.
  • Competency in preparing and analyzing reports related to daily operations and KPIs.
  • Skill in identifying and swiftly resolving logistical or operational issues.
  • Capacity for strategic thinking to optimize workflow and processes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for building and maintaining professional relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Effective negotiation skills, particularly in the context of shipping costs and supplier contracts.
