    Who We Are:

    Waukegan Community Unit School District No. 60 serves nearly 17,000 students in preschool through grade 12 and is located halfway between Chicago, Illinois and Milwaukee, Wisconsin on the shores of Lake Michigan. Our District has one early learning center 15 elementary schools, five middle schools and a high school program divided between two 9 – 12th grade campuses. The District encompasses portions of Waukegan, Beach Park and Park City.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    Under the supervision of the Co-principals, and the Assessment and Building Logistics Chair, the Assessment Specialist will assist with all district, state, and national assessments at the high school.
    Performance Responsibilities:
    • Assist in the organization and implementation of all assessments in line with federal, state, and local expectations/requirements;
    • Support the coordination of district, state and national testing opportunities in collaboration with school leaders across both campuses.
    • Collaborate with teachers, building administration, and Office of Teaching & Learning on implementing best practices, policies, and protocols related to assessments.
    • Maintain clear and concise communication with all school leaders
    • Ability to demonstrate the following core values: integrity, high expectations, commitment, respect, dedication to teamwork and passion for a student-centered environment
    • Performs other duties as assigned
    Additional Qualifications:
    • Detailed knowledge and experience in the coordination of high school assessments
    • Must be able to successfully manage multiple tasks, projects and responsibilities
    • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
    • Experience: Minimum Requirements: Three to five (3-5) years of successful secondary teaching experience
    • Education/Credentials Minimum Requirements: PEL with HS endorsement
    Additional Information: This is a shared position across all WHS campuses
