Evangelical Childrens Home is Hiring a Therapist - Steppingstone Near St. Louis, MO

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Conducts a minimum of 1.5 hours of individual psychotherapy per week to each resident on caseload.

Conducts a minimum of one group therapy session per week.

Conducts a minimum of one parent psychoeducational group meeting per month.

When requested, seeks medical credentialing (insurance panels) and obtains pre-certification/authorization for services.

Interviews residents to obtain information concerning social history, treatment and other pertinent information.

Plans and administers therapeutic treatment to assist residents in developing/displaying appropriate behaviors.

Observes residents to detect indications of abnormal mental behaviors.

Reviews results of test given by mental health provides to evaluate residents' needs.

Changes method and degree of therapy when indicated by resident reactions/needs.

Discusses progress towards goals with residents such as medication regiment, family relationships, educational programs, social development, discharge plans or other behavioral problems.

Serves as "on-call" or "on-duty" administrator as assigned.

Completes and maintains individual and group counseling notes and documentation (in client management database) within 24 hours following the treatment session excluding weekends and holidays.

Submits necessary documentation for billing purposes within the designated time frame.

Provides written reports at request of Case Manager, Supervisor, or third party.

Attends treatment planning, reviews and/or other client related meetings at the request of the Case Manager.

Attends external reviews (e.g. court hearing, permanency planning, etc.) at the request of the Case Manager.

Maintains effective communication and relationship with ECH Case Manager of each youth on caseload.
