Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide support and assistance to individuals in need of personal care services. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping individuals maintain their independence and improve their quality of life.
Duties:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Provide assistance with mobility and transfers
- Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning and laundry
- Accompany clients to appointments or social outings
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Document client progress and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant or similar role is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of basic caregiving techniques and practices
- Ability to effectively communicate with individuals of diverse backgrounds and abilities
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
