ETC is Hiring a Vice President of Finance Near Middleton, WI

ETC is looking for a vice president to join the executive staff and lead the global finance departments. Candidates with a strong knowledge of ESOP S corporations, multi-level assembly manufacturing, treasury function, and international experience in a strong employee centric culture should apply.

Purpose:
Executive level management position responsible for the overall direction, coordination and administration of all global Finance goals, objectives, and processes in accordance with the established strategic plan.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversees the finance function at all global locations
  • Provides finance skills and expertise to the company by building, developing and managing a finance team capable of carrying out the necessary finance strategies and tactics
  • Formulates, communicates, and implements international finance strategy, objectives, policies and procedures
  • Ensures company strategy, objectives, policies and procedures are supported and implemented in the finance departments of the subsidiaries
  • Develops and maintain positive communication between subsidiary finance departments
  • Coordinates activities of finance subsidiaries.
  • Seeks mutual agreement on problems involving coordination
  • Audits subsidiaries effectiveness and efficiencies recommends improvements where appropriate
  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization’s fiscal performance
  • Develop credibility for the finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends
  • Provide technical financial advice and knowledge to others within the financial discipline
  • Participate in continual improvement of the budgeting process through education of department managers on financial issues impacting their budgets
  • Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the international organization; i.e., evaluation of potential alliances acquisitions and/or mergers, investments, capital expenses, future cash flow, as well as shareholder strategy and valuations
  • Optimize the handling of international bank and deposit relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance company position
  • Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs
  • Develop and maintain an international exchange rate policy and process to maximize company financial position
  • Interacts and manages corporate audits, tax, consulting and banking relationships
  • Develops and oversees tax strategies companywide
  • Provides input and support to the executive team
  • Fully supports other executive team members by making every effort to resolve issues, assist with accomplishing goals in other departments, as well as defend and protect other team members
  • Participates fully in the leadership and management of the company
  • Provides leadership and support of company policies and procedures exhibited by knowledge and practice on a day to day basis
  • Leads by example a company culture that promotes company’s mission and values
  • Participates in strategic planning
  • Participates in mergers and acquisitions
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Manages direct reports
  • Coordinates and collaborates with other departments of the company in establishing and carrying out responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain positive communication between department and other departments.
  • Oversees the formulation, implementation & review of ISO procedures related to the department
  • Informs employees as to company/departmental plans and progress
  • Maintains reporting on all department activities
  • Continue to monitor efficiency in the department and make improvements where appropriate
  • Develops departmental budgets, objectives, long ranges plans, & tactical plans.
  • Oversees the hiring, orientation, training, performance management, career development, and overall employee development of department personnel through subordinates. Responsible for employee development of direct reports

  • Ability to establish credibility and be decisive, but able to recognize and positively support the organization’s preferences and priorities
  • Superior organizational, problem-solving and negotiating skills
  • Computer skills required
  • Demonstrated ability to perform effective short and long range planning
  • Proven ability to deal with all levels of personnel and to maintain the strictest confidentiality
  • Strong knowledge of company policies, procedures, and philosophies
  • Participative management style
  • Superb interpersonal skills with the ability to build collaborative working relationships with staff and International company Vice Presidents
  • Ability to command respect both inside and outside the organization
  • Ability to facilitate multi-functional meetings
  • Ability to travel internationally when necessary
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong international finance, treasury management and multi-level assembly manufacturing experience preferred
  • 10-15 years’ experience gained through increasingly responsible management positions within a Financial, legal and administrative environment.
