ETC is Hiring an Assembler Near Austin, TX

ETC is seeking new team members for Assembler positions in the Manufacturingdepartment in Austin facility. Positions involve assembling parts to print and quality specifications, maintaining a clean and safe work area, completing labor reporting paperwork, and learning new tasks and assemblies.

Candidates should have a positive attitude, good manual dexterity, the ability to use hand and power tools, follow assembly drawings, sit or stand for an extended time period, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Whether you are new to assembly or just looking to broaden your manufacturing experience, we're looking forward to your application!

Representative Responsibilities:
  • Builds assemblies to quality standards and print specifications
  • Maintains expected productivity output levels and completes assignments as scheduled
  • Sets up, operates, and maintains machinery as needed
  • Completes labor reporting paperwork daily, e.g. daily time sheets
  • Follows ISO procedures, e.g., ECRs and NCMRs
  • Maintains a clean and organized work environment
  • Ensures after task is completed, floor is swept and tools are returned to designated area
  • Adheres to safety standards at all times
  • Follows safety and quality protocol
  • Abides by safety procedures, work practice controls, and OSHA guidelines (wears protective equipment when required)
  • Learns new tasks, procedures and assemblies as needed
  • Listens to, understands and follows instructions while learning new assignments
  • Recognizes unusual circumstances and asks questions when necessary
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Special projects and requests are completed in a timely and positive fashion
Minimum Qualifications: Grade and level to be determined, based on experience
  • HS diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred
  • Good manual dexterity
  • Able to operate hand tools and small power tools
  • Able to follow simple assembly drawings
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Able to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Proven ability to understand and follow directions
  • Basic English skills to understand quality, safety, work instructions, personnel information, etc
