ETC is Hiring an IT Developer - Mobile Apps Developer Near Middleton, WI
Electronic Theatre Controls (ETC) is seeking a IT Developer - Mobile Applications Developer to join our Apps team. This position will be directly involved in specifying and developing iOS and/or Android mobile applications that support ETC products, customers and sales partners.
The ideal candidate is both knowledgeable and passionate about software development, mobile apps, and the end-user experience. Responsibilities of the position include:
- Develop new mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms
- Contribute to existing apps written in Swift, Kotlin, Qt, or Java
- Integrate with back-end data sources and web services
- Delivering a great mobile user experience that exceeds our customer expectations
- Help improve code quality through writing unit tests, automation, and performing code reviews
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas to our technology, algorithms and products
- Work with product and design teams to understand end-user requirements and use cases, and translate those into an effective technical solution
- Knowledge and understanding of mobile app store ecosystems and requirements
- Ability to dive into difficult problems and successfully deliver results within a set schedule
Desired Technology Skills:
- Strong Object Oriented Programming and software design knowledge
- Apple iOS – Swift, Objective-C, X-code
- Android – Kotlin, Java, Android Studio
- Web/REST APIs
- JSON/XML/HTML/CSS/Javascript
- Jira, Confluence, Gitlab
- Scripting languages such as Python
- Cloud and IoT related technologies a plus
Desired Soft Skills:
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude towards new challenges
- Troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Effective verbal and written communications
- Flexible and adaptable to time and scope constraints
- A deep interest in the subject matter and a desire to learn
Desired Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or comparable experience in a related discipline
