JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary

Essential Wholesale & Labs' Warehouse Clerk facilitates the stock of materials, order fulfilment, and shipment process to the highest standard of quality.

Essential functions

• Perform shipping duties.
• Responsible for arranging pick-ups by the carrier specified on the customer's sales order which is conveyed via the shipping instructions.
• Daily finished goods cycle counts.
• Must report defective materials or questionable conditions of packaging.
• Responsible for always keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
• Stock product and clean warehouse in downtime.
• Efficiently pick customer orders for shipment, ensuring that the correct number and type of product is pulled.
• Lift and unload pails and other products by hand, and safely stock finished goods to correct location.
• Verify Finished products labels
• Transport picked freight orders to the freight staging area

Competencies

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Attention to detail in counting and verification of orders
• Ability to understand the shipping terms and verbiage on packing slips, bills of lading and container labels, including but limited to weights and measures and conversions there in, lot #'s, vendor codes, tracking #'s, etc.
• Punctual and dependable with a sense of urgency
• Strong sense of time organization and management
• Operates with a sense of commitment to teamwork and able to work independently
• Positive friendly demeaner working with vendors, truck drivers, business associates and internal staff
• Adaptive and flexible to a growing and changing environment
