JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary

The Essential Wholesale Production Filler is responsible for producing shelf-ready high quality finished products, following operating procedures and customers' specifications. Finished products are produced by pulling bulk product to fill into sellable sizes using various equipment and/or tools.

Essential functions

  • Reviews work tickets for accuracy to ensure product and packaging are correct. Fill products according to work tickets.
  • Makes sure work tickets are being filled out accurately.
  • Rotates stock according to FIFO.
  • Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
  • Operates and maintains material handling tools.
  • Cleans machines and utensils that are required for filling.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Operates different kinds of machines and tools to ensure the desired outcome of finished products.
  • Ability to cross train and learn other departments.

Competencies

  • Previous experience working in a production environment.
  • Basic knowledge of computers required.
  • Must be able to communicate fluently, perform basic math skills, understand measurements and weights and understand the basic functions of using a scale.
  • Ability to document and communicate properly. Good organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to perform repetitive work while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with others.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced constantly changing environment.
  • Willingness to help where needed.
  • Must be reliable and dependable and have a strong work ethic and attendance history.
  • Understand the principals of FIFO.
  • Ability to work in typical warehouse/production environment, including exposure to odors, noise, chemicals and fluctuations temperatures.
  • Must be capable of sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods. Must be able to lift 40 lbs. above the waist and maneuver swiftly. Fill and empty 55-gallon drums and safely handle hot liquids and potentially hazardous ingredients.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, preferred but not required
  • Basic knowledge of units of measurements, preferred but not required
