Staff Accountant

We are a leading provider of full-service staffing and management programs for the K-12 educational market. We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Knoxville office team.

OVERVIEW: The successful candidate maintains and manages financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

SCHEDULE:

• Working Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
• Work Location: Hybrid
• Travel Required: Biannually
• FLSA Status: Exempt

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare monthly financial statements and reports by analyzing account information such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Review and report cash deposits & disbursements daily.
• Research and reconcile all discrepancies.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Assist in preparation of month-end and year-end closing.
• Additional projects assigned by the Accounting Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• Minimum of three year's experience.
• Expert in Excel and creating pivot tables.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to function as a team player.
