Escalade Sports is Hiring a Business Intelligence Analyst Near Evansville, IN

Position Title: Business Intelligence Analyst
Reporting To: Director of IT
Location: Evansville, IN
Status: Exempt
Job Purpose: Responsible for identifying business intelligence, reporting, and data analysis needs and turning into actionable insights that others can use to make better decisions and enable key business processes. Will work cross-functional to help research and organizing business intelligence data for the organizations, as well as administrating vital business information regarding infrastructure, systems design, software, and other equipment and storage functions in connection to business reporting work as intended. May include develop of new procedures to manage components and modify software to meet project requirements, as well as maintain and troubleshoot important tools and coordinate software updates. Primary focus will be verifying and implementing business intelligence data to increase productivity and assist in suggesting new ways to increase visibility of critical information for business users.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
  • Generate standard and custom reports summarizing business data for review by executives and shareholders
  • Collect business intelligence data from available industry reports, public information and field reports
  • Conduct periodical tests to make sure that the intelligence is accurate and in line with the company's needs
  • Recommends solutions by defining database physical structure and functional capabilities, database security, data back-up, and recovery specifications.
  • Maintains database performance by calculating optimum values for database parameters; implementing new releases; completing maintenance requirements; evaluating computer operating systems and hardware products.
  • Prepares users by conducting training; providing information; resolving problems.
  • Participate in special projects, providing leadership as needed on cross-functional teams
  • Ensures best & standardized practices are followed across all shared planning resources
  • Understands and demonstrates the Company’s core values
  • Monthly Business Review Meeting Distribution
  • Maintain Commission Database File
Skills/Qualifications Required
  • 3 – 5 years demonstrated experience or Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field
  • Knowledge - Information regarding tools, reports, and data analytics and modeling
  • Able to express ideas or information to individuals or groups considering the audience and the nature of the information
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to scrutinize and break down facts and thoughts into their strengths and weaknesses
  • Willingness to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Handle multiple activities simultaneously and ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.
  • Proficient at using Excel spreadsheets and database applications for data analysis including use of SQL

  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
Working Conditions
  • Work is usually performed in an office setting, with limited demands for movement and lifting
