OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Senior Security Engineer to play a key role in the design and implementation of cybersecurity solutions to protect our business and SaaS operations. The position will provide the opportunity to work in a heterogenous environment of cloud and on-premises equipment and a variety of operating systems. This role will work collaboratively with our information technology and software development staff to design and implement security controls.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Be the lead implementor of security projects and operations automation as assigned
• Automate patching and patch compliance reporting
• Harden configurations of containers and servers
• Harden access controls with configuration or automation as needed
• Harden endpoints through mobile device management or group policies
• Manage vulnerability scanners, analyze results, and implement or drive implementation of remediations
• Monitor and tune data loss prevention tools
• Investigate and report on security events and threats
• Automate response to common security events and threats
• Configure data ingestion and tune alerts and actions for SIEM/SOAR tools
• Audit systems for compliance with security controls
• Support disaster recovery preparedness
• U.S. citizenship is required

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU WILL BRING

• Bachelor’s Degree and 4-10 years experience, degree commensurate with experience 
• Hands-on professional scripting experience in bash, python, powershell, or similar language
• Experience hardening server configurations
• Experience implementing security controls for cloud infrastructure
• Experience analyzing vulnerability reports from automated vulnerability assessments to determine impact and prioritize remediation
• Demonstrated ability to apply knowledge of security frameworks and concepts to deliver security solutions for business needs
• Demonstrated ability to plan and articulate proposed configuration changes and the benefits and risks of those changes
• Experience configuring firewalls
• Excellent written communication skills
• U.S. citizenship is required. 

Desired:

• Experience hardening Mac and/or Windows endpoints
• Experience hardening network devices
• Experience managing and testing backups and disaster recovery plans
• Experience performing incident response
• Experience performing cybersecurity compliance audits
• Experience configuring and tuning network intrusion prevention/detection systems
• Experience managing vulnerabilities for software development including software dependencies, SAST findings, and CI/CD infrastructure such as GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps
• Experience implementing security automation with CI/CD pipelines
