WHAT YOU WILL DO

At BlueHalo, you will join a team that is dedicated to excellence and pushing the boundaries of what is possible.

• Lead the planning, development, and implementation of systems engineering practices and processes to improve project outcomes.
• Develop comprehensive requirements and design documents that serve as the foundation for project success.
• Engage in software development with a focus on Python, contributing to both core application development and automated testing.
• Utilize the Software Engineering Institute's CMMI model to enhance software development practices and outcomes.
• Manage project documentation and progress using Microsoft Office and Project to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
• Construct Work Breakdown Structures, project schedules, and estimates to effectively manage and align project resources and timelines.
• Conduct detailed requirements definition, analysis, traceability, verification, and validation to ensure alignment with client needs and system specifications.
• Implement robust configuration and risk management processes to identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU WILL BRING

• 15 years of relevant experience in systems engineering, demonstrating a deep understanding of technical and managerial aspects of major projects.
• At least five (5) years of systems engineering experience in three or more of the following areas: Work Breakdown Structures, project scheduling and estimation, requirements management, configuration management, and risk management.
• Proven capability in software development and familiarity with various software development lifecycle models.
• Strong proficiency in Python and automated testing methodologies.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and the SEI CMMI model.

Additional Requirements:

• This position may require the individual to work non-standard hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Participation in critical mission operations may be required, which includes being on-call and available via pager.
• Ability to work under pressure in a mission-critical environment, including potential shift work.
