We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing administrative and accounting support with tasks including but not limited to financial statement preparation, general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations and monthly close processes. Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and timely
• Handle all Accounts payable transactions
• Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements
• Perform monthly account reconciliations and analysis
• Assist with the monthly close process and provide variance analysis
• Prepare various financial reports as required by management
• Implement and enforce internal controls, including policies, procedures and workflow documentation
• Interact with internal and external auditors, providing various analysis and audit schedules to ensure compliance with internal control procedures
• Assist with year-end audit and tax preparation
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting
• Ensure compliance with government/DoD reporting requirements (DCAA, FAR, CAS)
• Other duties as assigned

• BS/BA Accounting or Finance
• 7 years of experience, previous Aerospace or Defense experience a plus
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Expert on of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word

• Equity and lease accounting knowledge
• Experience with PROCAS or Deltek Costpoint
• Experience with DCAA and DCMA Compliance
• Security clearance preferred but not required
• Aerospace or Defense experience
