EPIC Brokers is Hiring a Remote Vice President, Employer Pharmacy Benefit Consulting

The Vice President of Pharmacy Benefit Consulting- Employer Market is vital part of the PSG leadership team reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Employer Pharmacy Benefit Consulting. This leader role is a highly visible, market-facing, industry thought leader bringing a deep understanding of all aspects of the competitive market for pharmacy benefits management products and services. Leading a team of consultants and working cross functionally across PSG, the leader drives strategy, innovation, and overall execution of PSG’s consultative services designed to bring insights that empower employer health plan sponsors to make strategic decisions optimizing their pharmacy benefit programs. The leader is responsible for establishing, developing, and maintaining strong, influential relationships with clients as well as industry partners that drive client satisfaction and portfolio growth and profitability.

Responsibilities:

Working collaboratively across PSG the Vice President, Pharmacy Benefit Consulting – Employer Market is responsible to:

  • Drive high levels of client satisfaction with pharmacy benefit cost, experience, and outcomes.
  • Mentor, develop and provide daily leadership for a team of consultants, clinicians, and support personnel.
  • Support strategic client consulting.
  • Power portfolio growth and retention by assisting business and client development efforts including contributing to PSG’s responses to client requests for proposals for consulting services and supporting finalist presentations.
  • Champion stewardship and operating discipline to optimize value/affordability and profitability.
  • Lead and participate in PSG leadership meetings.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain influential relationships with industry partners.
  • Participate in client and industry discussions regarding evolving PBM models and programs.
  • Optimize the use and enhancement of existing technology and analytical tools.
  • Provide subject matter expertise with client and team insights for expanding and developing new services, products, technology, and analytical tools.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in the negotiation and approval final PBM agreement language.
  • Lead service operations including:
    • PBM and Pharmacy Service Provider Procurement, Renewal, and Market Checks
    • Contracting
    • Implementation
    • Audit
    • Program optimization and insights using clinical expertise, data, analytics, and reporting.

Qualifications (Minimum Requirements)

  • Extensive knowledge of Pharmacy Benefit Management (5 years minimum experience).
  • Direct team leadership experience (5 years minimum experience)
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate (both speaking and written) with impact leveraging executive presence to maximize credibility and influence.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply financial knowledge to manage the business including strategic budget planning and P&L management.
  • Proven ability to develop strategies and implement programs that drive client value and growth.
  • Strong clinical and financial analysis skills
  • Strong use of various business applications including MS Office products, Teams, Zoom, etc.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.
  • Pharmacy background with bachelor’s degree; MBA and/or PharmD/RPh strongly
  • Business development experience

Salary and Benefits
