About Us
Great job with a Water Treatment and Purification Service company.
The Maintenance Technician will work on various types of process equipment piping and controls. You will repair, test, adjust or install mechanical equipment, such as pumps, blowers, compressors, piping systems, gauges and various types of process equipment commonly used in the water and air pollution control industry.
Duties
- Repair or replacement of malfunctioning or worn mechanical components.
- Basic electrical troubleshooting ability.
- Diagnose and repair faulty pumps and equipment.
- Pipe fitting and assemble, especially, but not limited to PVC.
- With supervision, install or replace meters, regulators, or related measuring or control devices.
- Be available for “On Call” duties after hours.
- Maintain effective working relations with customers, personnel, other client contacts and Envirogen staff.
- Must be able to accomplish multiple tasks and respond quickly and effectively to changes and priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, Outlook
About you
- Basic mechanical skills required.
- Basic electrical skills desired. High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum one (1) year experience in industrial or domestic wastewater treatment would be great.
- HAZWOPER and Confined Space Entry Certification is required (training is provided by the company).
- Courses in wastewater treatment are desirable.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Adhere to safe practices and procedures.
- Welding, fabrication, general construction, or heavy equipment operation ability a plus.
- Regional and out-of-state travel may be required.
