Newton Baby, Inc. is Hiring a Director of Compliance Near New York, NY
Job Description

We are seeking a Compliance Director to become an integral part of our team! This position will report to our COO with weekly or bi-weekly visits to our NYC office or as needed.
As Compliance Director, you will develop and implement corporate and quality control documents, negotiate vendor agreements, ensure product compliance, supervise and document production processes, perform testing, and review inspection reports to ensure that our products meet our high standards.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Create and maintain product and quality requirements for domestic and international production
- Develop and implement corporate and quality control documents
- Ensure annual/periodic product testing and certification requirements are met
- Ongoing improvement of quality control processes and standards
- Product inspection at various stage of development and production
- Upkeep of ethical standards regulations
- Ensure factory regulation compliance
- Organize periodic plant audits
- Maintain state registries for all factories
- Ensure product specifications for all products are met
Qualifications:
- College degree
- 5 year experience in the quality control of consumer products
- Experience with baby/juvenile products is a plus
- Previous experience with product testing and certification
- Experience with 3rd party lab testing
- High attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Position requires periodic travel to our production locations both international and domestic
- Position requires weekly, bi-weekly, or as needed travel to our NYC office
