Summary: Seeking a Mechanical Designer with expertise in mechanical automation design and Solidworks or Creo.

Job Requirements:

• 5 years of mechanical automation design experience

• Proficiency in designing from scratch

• 3 years of Solidworks or Creo experience (expert status)

• Knowledge of machine frame design and welding principles

• Experience in detailing of components and assemblies

• Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and assembly of machines

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of pneumatic circuits and sizing principles

• Experience with motion using servo motors, linear drives, and ball screws

• Ability to conduct FEA analysis using CAD

• Experience specifying and selecting purchased components and vendors

Job Responsibilities:

• Machine Design including finalizing designs from concept sketches

• Selection of purchased components ensuring they are properly sized for applications

• Detailing parts for machine shop use

• Creation of assembly drawings and weldment drawings

• Organization of BOMs for purchasing purposes

Machine Improvements/ECNs:

• Modification of existing machines under development and testing

• Upgrading current designs per new customer requests

• Replacement of long lead time items with alternatives to meet deadlines

Assembly Of Machines:

-Mechanical assembly of designs

-Troubleshooting/improvement on existing machines during debugging process

This role will be non-repetitive with an estimated job category breakdown as follows: 70% CAD design and drafting, 20% hands-on assembly and building, 10% miscellaneous tasks.

Pay Details: $29.00 to $39.00 per hour
