Summary: Seeking an Electrical Design Engineer with a strong background in industrial facilities and electrical schematics for heavy industry projects.

Requirements:

• BSEE or Equivalent experience with 10 years of experience in the electrical design and engineering supporting electrical, instrumentation, and controls design development for heavy industry projects.

• Proficiency in CAD software and simulation tools.

• Ability to perform short circuit analysis, arc flash studies, power flow studies, relay coordination.

• Strong understanding of PLC ladder logic, digital and sequential logic programming methods, and process related closed-loop control systems.

• Knowledge of low voltage power distribution, instrumentation and controls engineering.

Responsibilities:

• Develop electrical system designs and create detailed schematic diagrams, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) tools.

• Select electrical components, such as switches, circuit breakers, transformers, based on project requirements and specifications.

• Provide input for cost estimation and budgeting related to electrical components and systems.

• Hands-on support for commissioning/start-up activities.

Additional Information:

Travel up to 50% may be required. The position will require working on-site in heavy industrial environments - mostly mining and gas industries.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $54.00 per hour
