Seeking a candidate with basic electrical experience. Will train a candidate with the appropriate talent and skill set. Ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience with hands-on, job site experience performing tasks related to electrical systems installation, service, testing or commissioning. Someone who is interested advancing their career from working with tools into more of a white collar oriented technical role.

Travel to active project sites to perform commissioning activities (in a safe and professional manner). Issue site commissioning site visit reports. Understand electrical one-line diagrams and schedules. Proficiency in electrical systems, including high-medium-low voltages, switchgear, and emergency electrical systems.

• Review electrical specifications and details for optimal performance and implementation.
• Perform Construction Administration for designs.
• Review contractor submittals for compliance to contract documents.
• Perform due diligence studies on existing buildings.
• Participate in contract bidding and administration. Observe the ongoing progress of a project.
• Assist in the coordination of projects with clients, contractors, outside consultants, and firm staff. Communicate and interact with project team members, client representatives, review agencies, and others as appropriate to the project.
• Assist in resolving a variety of complex problems (e.g., conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, difficult coordination requirements).
• Complete Commissioning Authority (CxA) certification.
