Position Description:

The CNC Machinist performs complex machine setups on 3, 4 and 5 axis machines, has G & M code knowledge, and is able to run and inspect parts with little to no supervision. This shift pays a 20% shift premium. 

Essential Responsibilities:

• Perform machine setups quickly, accurately, and efficiently
• Operate machines to produce production runs of parts
• Able to read operation sheets and blueprints
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with peers, supervisor, and other staff
• Other duties as directed by supervisor

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary CNC education preferred
• 1 years of CNC machine operation
• Okuma control knowledge a plus
• G & M code fluency
• Strong verbal communication and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and ability to deal with complexity
• Capable of working in a customer-focused, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a positive attitude
• Interested in learning with, and from, engineering and programming team to improve operations
