Position Description:

The Operation Manager is responsible for overseeing shop floor employees that perform a variety of aerospace manufacturing processes. The Operation Manager role works very closely with the production planning group to effectively communicate daily priorities to the floor.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Supervise and motivate a team of workers.
• Troubleshoot problems with parts and equipment.
• Ensure health and safety guidelines are always followed.
• Act with integrity and ethical behavior.
• Oversee production methods and look for improvements.
• Coordinate several products simultaneously.

Qualifications:

• Strong verbal communication and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Able to read blueprints and operation sheets.
• Excellent organizational skills to be able to monitor the production process.
• Ability to act decisively and solve personnel or equipment related problems.
• Ability to work under pressure and multitask.
• Leadership skills and the ability to motivate others to meet deadlines.
• A results-driven approach
• Experience in a machine shop environment, preferably with leadership experience.
• Capable of working in a customer-focused, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a positive attitude
