What do we do? We’re on a mission to crowdsource and document UFOs. That’s right. We’re obsessed with anything and everything anomalous in the skies. We’re the #1 app for people to share UFO sightings, recently featured by The New Yorker, Wired, Daily Beast and Vice. And we’re at an inflection point of uptick in growth, and we need your help.

We’re looking for a unicorn first Social Media Manager to join our team to lead social media strategy and execution. Our user shared content has built in virality and this role is a marketer’s dream. You’ll get to use your creativity, smarts rapidly experiment and build a wild cultural movement and THE NEXT BIG THING.

Who’ll be successful in this role? A resourceful, scrappy, creative thinker who has a bias for action and hustle. You understand the landscape of social media platforms, know how to write copy that engages, tells our story and shares our brand values. You are analytical and understand the differences between performance on different social platforms, and can use that data to tell our team what to do next.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive social media and content strategy to increase brand awareness, drive engagement, generate leads, and build community.
• Manage our owned social media channels, primarily TikTok, Instagram and Facebook. And secondarily, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube
• Create or manage the creation of and content for our social media platforms, including posts, videos, images, and stories
• Monitor social sentiment and trends using social listening tools and platforms
• Analyze social media data and metrics to track performance, optimize campaigns, and report on KPIs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and product development to develop content that educates, entertains, engages

Qualifications:

• 4-6 years of experience in social media management, with a proven track record of successful campaigns.
• Extensive knowledge of social media platforms, tools, and best practices.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to craft compelling content for various social media platforms.
• Creative thinker with a passion for staying ahead of social media trends and innovations. You live and breathe culture, and have a great judgment on how to capitalize on brand moments
• Experience leading effective social media campaigns across multiple platforms.
• Hyper organized, reliable, collaborative. Sense of humor is a must!
• Bonus points if you have basic design skills and video editing, experience
• Extra bonus points if you have a good sense of humor
• Ability to work effectively in a hyper-paced (but fun) environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
