Our project engineers will be with you every step of the way from design feasibility, CAD design and design optimization for injection molding, Mold Flow analysis, plastic resin, appearance and surface texture, color, prototype, mold design and build to the end product and throughout production.
We are looking for an experienced Injection Molding Process Technician for our2nd shift team 3pm - 11:30pm and 3rd shift team 11pm -7:30am to offer additional support. The candidate will need to be knowledgeable with JSW, Engle, Krauss Maffei & Ferromatik Milacron.
Job Description:
· Recommends and coordinates equipment changes and improvements.
· Determines process variables and ranges.
· Analyzes trial and designed experiment results to solve problems and reduce defects.
· Interfaces with Customers and Suppliers to resolve quality issues working with the Quality Department so that occurrence of nonconformities are identified, solutions are recommended and implemented, and further processing is halted until corrections are made and further occurrences are prevented.
· Develops processes for new tooling to produce parts, which meet quality standards, at quoted cost.
· Issues process standards to Production and ensure that they are adhered to.
· Responsible for the development and implementation of statistical process control techniques.
· Recommends and justifies budget recommendations for capital equipment related to the process.
· Required to maintain a database including historical process information
· Develop, recommend, and implement corrective action to improve scrap and efficiencies
· Study and recommend improvements on job setups for presses and auxillary equipment
· Perform new tool samples and/or attend tool samples performed at outside sources
· Establish all parameters for processing of all tools and jobs.
· Maintain the highest quality work to continuously insure customer satisfaction
· Have at least 2 year of experience in Injection Molding Process Technician.
· Trouble-shoot current process for any potential improvement.
· Makes recommendations during new product design to ensure the most efficiency at production time.
· Interfaces with Production, Engineering, Quality, customers and suppliers in order to achieve the program objectives.
· Audits processing paperwork
Mold Setting as needed for production
· Be able to lift at least 60 lbs.
· Other duties as assigned by supervisor
