Pharmacy Technician I:
Summary: Primary Pharmacy staff member for accurate and timely medication distribution by preparing, distributing, and packaging pharmaceutical products to ensure the highest quality of pharmaceutical care to patients of all ages at AnMed. Receive phone calls and inquiries from healthcare providers and respond to meet their needs as appropriate. Perform all duties under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist
Qualifications: Pharmacy Technician I: High school diploma or GED required. South Carolina registration required: Certification preferred. One year pharmacy experience preferred.
Pharmacy Technician II:
Summary: Higher level of Pharmacy Technician job performance completing all duties of Pharmacy Technician I with additional demonstrated ability, efficiency and competency in multiple Pharmacy Department specialty areas. Provides high level of assistance to the pharmacists by preparing, distributing, and packaging pharmaceutical products to ensure the highest quality of pharmaceutical care to patients of all ages at AnMed. Authorized access to all medication areas within AnMed. Authorized by Board of Pharmacy to perform additional technician duties as prescribed for Certified Pharmacy Technicians. Trained and effectively staffs in multiple specialty Pharmacy work areas.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED equivalence. SC Board of Pharmacy Certified Technician required. One year experience in hospital or retail pharmacy OR post-secondary education graduate of ASHP accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program required.
