Director or VP, Subsurface Asset Development & Optimization

EnergyX is currently seeking a Director or VP (depending on the previous experience and accomplishments) of Subsurface Asset Development & Optimization as the company expands its portfolio of Lithium Brine assets and progresses commercial Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) operations. Portfolio growth is currently focused on Chile, Argentina and the U.S. This position will report directly to the President of EnergyX.
Key Responsibilities
Support business development and the commercial team in asset origination for DLE operations. Oversee a team of reservoir engineers, geologists and geophysicists who will progress subsurface technical analysis for DLE in support of asset development programs. Mature subsurface characterization, including the development of static and dynamic reservoir models to optimize well development programs for injectors and producers. Execute subsurface de-risking for all subsurface aspects of projects via resource/reserves screening, appraisal work, drilling optimization, associated permitting, and well production monitoring including subsurface surveillance, analysis & optimization. Collaborate and coordinate across functions to analyze reserve and resource potential as well as project profitability.
Work closely with 3rd party service providers in support of subsurface technical assessments, well development & drilling programs, production optimization programs, and depletion planning. Work directly with potential 3rd party partners in support of required technical subsurface evaluations which informs deal space.
