The Energy Company based in San Diego is actively seeking an experienced Solar Project Manager to become a valuable member of our team. Our company specializes in comprehensive solar sales and installations across the southern California region.
The Solar Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and completion of solar energy projects from inception to commissioning. The Solar Project Manager will oversee all aspects of project management, including scope definition, budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication, to ensure the successful delivery of solar projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Coordination: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, budget, schedule, and resource requirements. Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and regulatory agencies to ensure alignment with project objectives and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
Site Assessment and Design: Conduct site assessments to evaluate the feasibility of solar projects, including site selection, solar resource analysis, shading analysis, and system design. Collaborate with engineering teams to develop optimal solar PV designs tailored to project requirements and site conditions.
Procurement and Supply Chain Management: Manage procurement activities, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, material procurement, and logistics coordination. Ensure timely delivery of equipment, materials, and components to support project timelines and milestones.
Construction Management: Oversee construction activities, including site preparation, equipment installation, system integration, and quality control. Monitor construction progress, identify and resolve issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure adherence to project specifications and safety standards.
Project Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, permits, drawings, and technical specifications. Generate regular progress reports, financial forecasts, and performance metrics to track project status, identify risks, and communicate key milestones to stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement: Foster positive relationships with project stakeholders, including clients, investors, regulatory authorities, and local communities. Facilitate regular meetings, site visits, and communications to address concerns, solicit feedback, and ensure alignment with project objectives and expectations.
Commissioning and Handover: Coordinate the commissioning and testing of solar PV systems to verify performance, functionality, and compliance with design specifications. Prepare project closeout documentation, conduct final inspections, and facilitate the handover of completed projects to clients or operators.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Construction Management, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, with a focus on solar energy projects.
Strong understanding of solar PV technology, design principles, and installation practices.
Proven track record of successfully managing solar projects from concept to completion, including planning, execution, and commissioning phases.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in project management software tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
Knowledge of relevant regulations, codes, and standards governing solar energy projects.
Commitment to safety, quality, and environmental stewardship.
