Building Manager
Job description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Building Manager to oversee the maintenance and operations of our facility. The Building Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of the building, managing maintenance tasks, and coordinating with various departments to meet the needs of the organization.
Overseeing the safety and maintenance of designated properties and ensuring that these properties comply with all applicable regulations. Recommending and coordinating improvements to the property as needed to ensure a safe, functional, and appealing space.
- Maintaining a safe environment with proper lighting, signage, and disability access
- Overseeing security, fire prevention, and other safety systems
- Monitoring regular building maintenance and janitorial services
- Contracting professionals for repairs as needed
- Ensuring that occupants are provided with proper utilities
- Monitoring and arranging for building improvements
- Overseeing contractors and inspecting completed jobs
- Hiring employees or contractors as needed to maintain, repair, or improve the property
- Resolving complaints, problems, and requests from building tenants
- Assisting with emergency response and evacuations as necessary
- Inspecting the building frequently for signs of damage or wear
- Complete monthly inspection maintenance checklists and provide reports to management.
- Proven experience in facilities management or a related field
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair equipment
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to set and meet goals

- Understanding of Building Codes and Safety Regulations
- Customer Service Experience
- Critical Thinking a must
- Problem Solving
- Detail Oriented
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in facilities management or related field is a plus
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects and working in confined spaces
- Maintenance Experience

Pay: $37,440.00 - $41,600.00 per year
