Empower 225 is a faith-based non-profit organization located in North Baton Rouge. We seek to empower youth and families to escape the cycle of poverty and violence by connecting them to supportive services and providing developmental services. We provide educational support, life skills trainings, career preparedness, housing, and mentorship.

Our Case Manager Supervisor for the Chafee Independent Living Program (CILP) provides life skills training to youth currently in foster care ages 14- 17 years old and case management to young adults who have aged out of foster care ages 18-23 years old. CILP provides services to East and West Baton Rouge, East and West Feliciana, Pointe Coupee, and Iberville.

We are seeking a Full-time CILP Supervisor to work on location at our Winbourne Avenue office.

Role Responsibilities:

• Supervision of staff and program and acquiring feedback from Peer Support Specialist regarding staff role, the IL Program, and DCFS program development.
• Responsible for monthly billing and reporting to DCFS staff; complete quarterly reports
• Participation in Youth Engagement Activities/ Youth Engagement Program (Assist with setup and/or transportation for youth when needed.)
• NYTD (Assist with search for youth and completion of surveys when needed.)
• Recruitment and Development of Community Partners (providing Community Resources in conjunction with Director of Programs)
• Plan and implement quarterly DCFS in-service training for regional DCFS Offices in conjunction with IL Service Coordinator and Peer Support/Admin. Review Specialist
• Plan and implement quarterly Foster Parent in-service trainings in conjunction with IL Service Coordinator
• Participation in monthly calls or meetings, NYTD, FTM, YTP

Schedule:

• Will work 40 hours per week

Ideal Candidate:

• Has at least three years of direct experience in case management
• Has at least three years of management experience
• Must have experience working with and serving youth ages 14-23.
• Demonstrates skill in creative, innovative ideas regarding engagement of youth.
• Must have the ability to problem-solve in working with youth that are difficult to engage.
• Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask and plan
• Understands the needs and culture of at-risk youth

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $47,973.00 - $49,920.00 per year

Shift:

• 8 hour shift

Weekly day range:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
