Technical Project Manager (Contractor Role)

The ideal candidate will be someone with a strong background in project management within IT, specifically with experience in Azure, Agile methodologies, and working in regulated industries. They should possess excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills, with a flexibility to adapt to changing processes and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Location:

NYC (in office 1-2 days a week)

12 months contract

Responsibilities:

• Manage and enhance the IT Enterprise Data Architecture roadmap, from execution to deployment through all environments.
• Support Enterprise Data Architecture and Cloud Migration projects.
• Facilitate cross-functional team collaboration for agile development across project workstreams.
• Ensure quality execution with detailed work items, acceptance criteria, and standardized code testing.
• Organize code releases and use Azure DevOps for project management, KPIs, and capacity reporting.
• Optimize processes and provide technical leadership.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven track record in delivering Microsoft Azure projects.
• Experience in financial services or a regulated industry.
• Minimum 5 years in a similar role, with experience in running Agile projects and executing Scrum methodology.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to manage project documentation and oversee project deliverables.
• Coordination skills for meetings between IT teams and stakeholders.
