Employment Solutions is Hiring a Procurement Manager Near Miramar, FL

Employment Solutions is currently searching for a qualified Procurement Manager to work in the Miramar, FL area. Our client is a well-established manufacturing plant that makes vitamins and supplements.

The Procurement Manager will be responsible to source products and services for our client, will be negotiating costs and contracts, finding and evaluating suppliers and managing a team of purchasing agents.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for all aspects of day-to-day operations of the purchasing department
  • Will be working directly with COO and CFO to manage the department
  • Able to be up-to-date with market news
  • Find and evaluate providers
  • Purchase raw materials, packaging components, repair supply, and minor equipment as needed while assuring they all meet current specifications
  • Negotiate cost and contracts with providers
  • Maintain relationship with all vendors and providers
  • Manage flow of raw materials and finished goods
  • Comply with all inventory management requirements
  • Ability to monitor compliance with all safety rules and regulations
  • Supervises purchasing agents, provides performance evaluations, provides training and development to all agents
  • Provides proper personnel training to company with all SOP's, Safety and FDS regulations
  • Strive for continuous improvement of the areas

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA, BS, Engineering Degree
  • 3 to 4 years of purchasing experience in pharmaceutical or nutraceutical industry...REQUIRED!
  • Analytical and supervisory skills in a CGMP environment or manufacturing facility
  • Excellent: interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills, strong organizational and computer skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate others

MUST be bilingual in English and Spanish....REQUIRED

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5pm

Pay: $80K - $100K based on experience
