Job Description
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Prepare materials by cleaning with extreme precision for machinists and welders in the shop
- Perform basic machining tasks as needed – training provided as needed
- Assist with fabrication
- Use various measuring instruments
- Move from one project to another – fast-paced environment
- Complete tasks with urgency, safety and accuracy in mind at all times
- Every day will be filled with lots of variety with room to learn and grow on the job!
- Previous experience as a Shop Helper or in a similar role is preferred.
- Trade school experience and or military experience including machining, welding and/or mechanical work
- Knowledge or interest in a career related to machining, welding and fabrication work
- Mechanically inclined, possibly working on vehicles as a hobby etc.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings is a plus, but can be trained
- Proficient in using power tools and hand tools
- Ability to measure accurately.
- Strong math skills
- High attention to detail
