Job description
Employment Solutions is currently seeking an Assistant Traffic Manager for a well-established cargo and distribution company in the Port Everglades area. Our client provides services from the U.S. mainland and the Bahamas and Turks and Caicos. Our client has been in business for over 25 years and is looking for a committed individual to add to their team.
Qualified candidates will be responsible for managing a large team that will be responsible for ensuring cargo is loaded, stowed and received by the customer in a timely manner. Coordinating the cargo from receiving to export and on island landing. Creating all documentations required for exporting which will include bills of landing, manifests, invoices and other paperwork as needed. You will be the point of contact/liaison between the warehouse, terminal, dispatch and island agents on a daily basis. Ideally looking for someone with knowledge of Hazmat (IMDG/CFR0 regulations for transportation of hazardous cargo.
Working hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm with the flexibility to work overtime as needed depending on the vessels
- Must have High School Diploma or GED
- Must have at least 3 years previous Ocean Export Experience
- Must have at least 4 years experience managing a large team
- Must have excellent communication and written skills
- Proficient in MS Office
- Hazmat Certified Preferred but not required
