Employment Horizons is Hiring a Remote Business Development Specialist

Employment Horizons, a nonprofit organization, is seeking a Business Development Specialist for 20 to 25 hours per week. Hours are flexible. In this role, you will research, develop, grow, and maintain business partnerships to benefit the adults with disabilities in our Fulfillment Center. You will also represent the organization at in-person and virtual events. This position is part-time and may require occasional night and weekend hours.
Primary Responsibilities include: :
  • Actively market Fulfillment services to the business community
  • Research and connect with prospective customers by utilizing media, door-to-door development, and trade events
  • Cold call prospective customers
  • Participate in business association meetings and networking opportunities that will cultivate business opportunities
  • Create thoughtful and well-designed presentations for prospects
  • Present business services to individuals and groups
  • Lead each potential project through the development phase with all parties
Rate: $20 - $23/hour
Benefits:: Flexible schedule, hybrid work environment, generous paid time off including 15 holidays, 18 vacation days, and 10 sick days.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Experience working in sales for the manufacturing industry or other services to businesses
  • Outstanding entrepreneurial and negotiating skills at closing deals
  • Excited by the prospect of cold-calling
  • Strong presentation and computer skills
  • Ability to lead and manage projects independently
  • Motivated to create new partnerships
  • Excellent time management and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Superior customer relations skills
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • A valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the nonprofit sector
