Empire Automotive Group is Hiring an Automotive Parts Manager Near Long Island, NY

Job Description

Job Summary:

Here is a great opportunity for an experienced automotive parts professional to help take this fast-growing import dealership to its next level of success. In this position, you will utilize your professional experience to profitably operate a franchised import parts department, to manage your staff, and to manage your OEM inventory to provide parts and accessories to a busy shop as well as to wholesale and retail customers. 

Responsibilities:

Maintain an efficient and profitable parts operation using various computer systems and processes. 

Using the dealership’s DMS, develop systems for the effective stocking of parts.

Develop processes and systems to minimize “at counter” time for technicians, helping them stay efficient and profitable.

Maximize gross profit by effective ordering of parts to insure maximum parts return allowance.

Understand and use of principles of pricing, availability, shipping, return and credit policies.

Prepare stock orders and complete paperwork accurately and on time.

Return parts appropriately and within manufacturer’s return policy guidelines.

Maintain close control of departmental costs.

Manage an efficient and profit-driven staff.

Qualifications and Requirements:

High School Diploma.

Five years minimum auto dealership parts experience, with at least two years as a manager. 

Strong interpersonal and time management skills.

A proven track record, no bouncing from job to job.

Mastery of Reynolds, CDK, and/or Dealertrack dealer management system.

Successfully undergo prehire background screening and drug testing.
