Description:The Center for Contemplative Science and Compassion-Based Ethics seeks a part-time administrative assistant to support the Associate Director for Operations and Communications, as well as to provide general programmatic support. The Center houses three major initiatives, each with dedicated staff (compassion.emory.edu).
The ideal candidate will have excellent writing skills and a strong command of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with event planning, travel, and social media is highly desirable as is an interest in/experience with contemplative practice.
While the typical schedule will be 20-25 hours per week, evening and weekend hours could be required on occasion due to special events or project deadlines.
You must be able to commute to our offices in downtown Decatur. The position is tentatively scheduled to start May 1, 2024. This is a two-year term position with the possibility of extension based on performance and funding.
