Overview:
We are seeking dedicated and experienced Childcare Workers to join our team as Childcare Worker-Nursery, Childcare Worker-Activities or both.
Nursery - provides proper care and supervision of children ages birth through 5 years.
Activities - provides proper care and supervision of people using the Family Life Center of Emmanuel Baptist Church, as well as carrying out some off-site church functions.
Nursery Duties
- Greet all children, parents, volunteers, etc upon their arrival.
- Provide direct supervision to all children to ensure their safety.
- Participate, engage, and interact with assigned age group in a prompt, positive, and appropriate manner.
- Change diapers, pull-ups, clothing or other items as needed to ensure proper cleanliness.
- Clean and/or disinfect noses, faces, hands or other areas when needed to ensure maximum cleanliness.
- Assist teacher/volunteer as directed and needed regarding any lesson and/or activity.
- Clean assigned space to include picking up and removing trash, wiping tables and disinfecting equipment.
- Ensure proper usage of the assigned space and all its equipment within.
- Properly store equipment and supplies and report to Activities Director any needed replenishing or replacement of equipment or supplies.
- Complete check list for closure at the conclusion of each assignment.
- Wear the appropriate staff shirt for identification.
Activity Duties
- Greet all participants using the facilities.
- Supervise the safety of all participants.
- Participate, engage, and interact with assigned age group in a prompt, positive, and appropriate manner.
- Clean facilities as assigned by the Activities Director or their designee.
- Issue equipment to participants and correct usage of equipment as needed.
- Receive and report any requests for the rental of the facilities to the Activities Director.
- Ensure proper usage of the facilities and all equipment within.
- Properly store equipment and report to Activities Director any needed replacement of equipment.
- Complete check list for closure at the conclusion of each assignment.
- Wear the appropriate staff shirt for identification.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $9.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2 – 8 per week
