TheField Service Technicians (FST) support the installation andservice of our client s camera and communication equipment oncustomerfleets.

Theywill work with the Field Service team to meet installation andservice schedules and maintain high quality standards.

FST willperform installations and service according to defined operatingprocedures additionally they will complete routine troubleshootingand propose solutions to service challenges.

This is a temporarycontract role that should last a minimum of 5 months with potentialforextension.

Candidatesmust reside in Albany NY region.

Responsibilities

• Workswith schematics install and service manuals CAD drawings totroubleshoot diagnose and repair units while in thefield
• Recordsand communicates daily deliverables to team leads in a timelymanner
• Executesadditional duties and responsibilities asassigned
• Championsquality and safety standards with all team members andpartners
• Followsall safetyguidelines
• Operatesa variety of standard hand and power tools analog / digital testequipment and CCTV testingdevices
• Runswires manages cabling connects components mounts devices andeffectively solves problems while maintaining a high qualitystandard
• Usesdiagnostic equipment including multi meters & software toisolate wiring issues network connectivity issues equipmentfailures and operationalanomalies
• Usessignal flow to trace and resolve network cableissues
• Effectivelyterminates and tests basic connections such as butt splicesinsulated connectors terminal strips / blocksothers
• Generatesevaluates and implements solutions to routineproblems. Providesbasic level of system diagnostics and troubleshooting such aselectrical connections or equipmentissues
• Usesinformation technology and related applications including adaptivedevices and software to convey and retrieveinformation
• Enterstranscribes records and maintains information in written orelectronic / digital format including adaptive devices andsoftware
• Workseffectively with others from diverse backgrounds resolvingconflicts appropriately and building trust withcolleagues
• Identifiesmoves and stores construction and building materials for all typesof installation and serviceactivities

Qualifications

Minimumof 1 year technician service experience or schooling in anapplicablefield :

• 12voltelectronics installs and serviceOR
• GPSor fleet telemetry installs and serviceOR
• Firealarm installs and serviceOR
• Accesscontrol CCTV or intercom systemsOR
• Schoolor other transit bus mechanicsystems
• Strongmechanical mathematical and reasoning aptitude isrequired
• Validand current State issued Driver s License

WorkEnvironment

• Abilityto travel and work when school buses are not in operation; OT andoccasional weekends may berequired.
• FieldServices Technicians will work 2 weeks out and 1 week home. Travelby air or driving as required based ondistance.

Travelrequired 5075% of thetime

• Mustbe willing to work flexible shifts including; overtime nights andweekends whenrequired
• Mustbe able to stand / bend for up to 8 hours and lift up to 75 lbs toshoulderheight
• Positioncan include outdoor work including hot or cold temperaturesconfined spaces extreme weather conditions slippery and unevenwalking surfaces climbing ladders bending stooping standing forlong periods oftime
• Applicantsmust be currently authorized to work in the United States on afulltime permanentbasis
• Salaryrange is $21.15 $26.44 / hour plus full benefits including HealthDental Vision 401(k) andPTO
