Accounts Payable Accountant

Overview

Emerald is seeking an Accounts Payable Accountant to join our team in California. As a key member of our Accounting team, the AP Accountant will be primarily responsible for reviewing credit card charges, invoices, and payment requests from the business for accuracy and completeness using eForms. The AP Accountant will also support additional tasks within the Accounting team.

We’re looking for a candidate with the ability to creatively solution issues utilizing excellent communication and interpersonal skills. In addition, this AP Accountant must be comfortable communicating across vendors and cross-functional internal teams and have an impeccable attention to detail. Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices
• Full cycle accounts payable through check run, ACH payment and wire transfer on a weekly basis
• Review vendor invoices and work primarily with internal teams to resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Maintain vendor files and collect required vendor W-9 forms prior to vendor set up
• Prepare 1099-Misc for vendors
• Assist with quarterly and year-end audit requests
• Manage special projects as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
• 3 years of experience with accounts payable or general accounting
• Demonstrated understanding of basic accounting principles
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of Concur or BofA Works a plus

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Target Compensation: $57,000-$63,000 Annually

Please note that this range reflects a reasonable estimate of the target compensation for this position, and may ultimately vary based on a candidate’s qualifications.
