The Banquet / Buffet Cook is responsible for preparing food for all catering, banquet and meeting events. Duties include meal planning, ensuring foods are prepared and cooked according to recipe specifications while ensuring all food is appealing and appetizing to casino guests.

Performs additional job duties as assigned by the department manager. Starting wage is $22.03 / hr increasing to $22.69 / hr at successful completion of 90-day orientation period.

Education :

High School Diploma or GED equivalent required

Culinary training

Experience & Requirements :

Two years experience in line cooking for a dinner house is required

Experience in grilling, broiling, sautéing and steaming

Must be fast and capable of working in different functions at one time and be able to coordinate cooking times with co-workers

Must have a valid Washington State food handler's card

Additional education and or experience may substitute for the minimum requirements of this position

Physical Requirements :

Must be able to stand for longer than 8 hours

The ability to lift up to 40 pounds

Mobility to climb stairs on a routine basis

Must be able to tolerate a smoke filled environment

Additional Requirements :

Must be able to work all scheduled shifts to include day, swing, graveyard and holidays

Must be able to pass a pre-employment illegal drug screen and obtain a Class IIIB license as required by the Puyallup Tribal Gaming Regulatory Office and the Washington State Gaming Commission.
