Job Summary:

Hill York seeks a Warehouse Manager who will be responsible for the organization, scheduling of staff, and directing of the warehouse on a day-to-day work plan. This position supports warehouse activities for three business units operating out of our Tampa office. The Warehouse Manager adjusts schedules as necessary, responsible for order accuracy, productivity levels, and facility maintenance. This person utilizes experience, intelligence and ingenuity in developing new strategies in the management of merchandise.

Warehouse Manager Duties and Responsibilities:

• Directs the day-to-day activities of the warehouse. Such activities include shipping, receiving, maintenance, inventory control, etc.
• Schedules drivers to pick up and deliver parts and equipment.
• Controls the issue and return of Company tools to the technicians.
• Responsible for the daily scheduling of warehouse personnel to ensure proper staffing.
• Provides exceptional customer and vendor service.
• Monitors inventory levels
• Oversees disposal of surplus material or scrap products.
• Demonstrates excellent attention to detail.
• Assists project managers and foremen with daily construction project purchases
• Assist in major purchase of PVF. Return leftover PVF to suppliers and track credits.
• Keeps facility maintained and clean (yard, security lighting, paint, etc.)
• Attend regular operations meetings to coordinate with team.
• Manage HY equipment & tools, repair as needed.
• Coordinate with corporate office for fleet maintenance.
• Track vehicle mileage & assigned drivers.
• Review/schedule & ensure maintenance is done.
• Review/approve regular repairs/flag major repairs to management for approval.
• Assist with determining when fleet vehicles need to be replaced.
• Maintain Safety cabinet (OSHA gear).
• Coordinate/support Safety Director.
• Communicates clearly and effectively to others the steps in a process and the importance of following that process. Clearly understands the rationale for why process must follow certain steps.
• Occasional driving on behalf of the company.

Qualifications:

• Complete knowledge of warehouse and inventory, control policies, processes, and procedures.
• HVAC experience a plus
• EPA Card
• Forklift Certification
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft office suite
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Good to excellent time management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent at planning and organizing.
